BJ Ruis
I've been in insurance since 2021, and in that time I've seen a lot of different scenarios — first-time buyers, investors, tricky properties, last-minute closings, you name it. That experience matters when something unexpected comes up, and it usually does.
I grew up in Baldwin, FL and headed to Florida State University before settling in Ponte Vedra Beach with my wife Stephanie, our two daughters, and our dog Heisman.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me fishing, hunting, on the golf course, or traveling with the family. Living on the First Coast keeps all of that close at hand.
I work with first-time homebuyers, investors, realtors, lenders, and everyone in between. I've also brought modern tools and technology into my process so things move faster and smarter, but you're still working with a real person who knows your situation.
Brad Plummer
Before entering the insurance industry, I spent nearly a decade as a high school science teacher and coach, helping students develop confidence, discipline, and problem-solving skills both in the classroom and on the field. During that time, I had the privilege of leading the Fletcher High School girls soccer program to the 2022 Class 6A State Championship—the first state title in the history of Duval County Public Schools.
My background in education taught me the value of clear communication, building trust, and helping people navigate complex decisions with confidence. Prior to teaching, I also worked as an environmental laboratory analyst, where I developed a strong attention to detail and an analytical approach that still serves me today.
Whether I'm working with clients, teammates, or referral partners, my goal is always the same: provide honest guidance, simplify the process, and help people make informed decisions with confidence.
